The President of the General Council of the Pacte Industrial and First Deputy Mayor for Economy, Work, Competitiveness and Finance of Barcelona City Council,\u00a0Jaume Collboni<\/strong>, has announced the creation of the Sustainable Mobility Industry Forum <\/strong>within the Pacte Industrial. The aim of this forum is to promote the transformation of\u00a0 important\u00a0industrial sectors <\/strong>for the country such as the automotive,<\/strong> motorcycle <\/strong>and railway industries <\/strong>towards a\u00a0sustainable<\/strong> (decarbonised), digital, shared, connected and autonomous framework.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative was presented during the 49th meeting of the Executive Committee of the Pacte Industrial,<\/strong> held remotely on May 4th. The meeting was chaired by N\u00faria Mar\u00edn<\/strong>, President of the Executive Committee of the Pacte Industrial and Mayor of Hospitalet de Llobregat, who continues to push for changes<\/strong> that will transform the current production framework<\/strong> into a more sustainable and resilient framework<\/strong>. Mar\u00edn<\/strong> pointed out that the Pacte Industrial wants to contribute to sustainable reindustrialisation<\/strong> based on the pact between the actors of the socio-economic system, the circular economy and industry 4.0<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pacte Industrial, a meeting place<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Collboni<\/strong> has defended the leadership of the Pacte<\/strong> Industrial <\/strong>in this process as a \u201cmeeting place<\/strong> between institutions and public and private agents, to raise awareness of the goal and the <\/strong>necessary actions<\/strong> to transform the different sectors involved in an ecosystem related to sustainable mobility<\/strong> capable of facing current and future challenges<\/strong> and contributing to the economic recovery<\/strong> of the Barcelona Metropolitan Region\u201d. The objectives proposed by the Pacte Industrial in this \u201cnecessary\u201d process, per Collboni<\/strong>, are \u201cto combine the social, economic, institutional and scientific agents<\/strong> in order to add value to the sustainable mobility industry in the metropolitan area, and to support the ecosystem by the alliances<\/strong> which will be essential in the new Next Generation EU<\/strong> context\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Managing Director of the Pacte Industrial, Carles Rivera,<\/strong> indicated the Forum\u2019s areas of interest: talent and training,<\/strong> R&D and innovation business,<\/strong> entrepreneurial ecosystem,<\/strong> infrastructure,<\/strong> and promotion and marketing<\/strong>. In the coming months, the specific actions to be carried out will be released, but it has been announced that studies <\/strong>and the training of a steering group and working groups<\/strong> will be carried out, as well as the organisation of conferences <\/strong>and round tables<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Current Pacte Industrial<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As usual, the latest activities of the association and those planned for the coming months have been reviewed. From the Mobility Commission, Juan Jos\u00e9 Casado <\/strong>(UGT of Catalonia) reported on the session on the challenges of urban distribution of goods<\/a>. M. Rosa Fiol <\/strong>(Fomento del Treball) referred to the possible studies and activities within the framework of the Mobility Commission. Salvador Clar\u00f3s <\/strong>(CCOO of Catalonia), of the Commission of Economic Activity, reminded us of the presentation of the Paper 5 of the Pacte Industrial<\/a> and Sergi Fuster <\/strong>(PIMEC), from the Innovation Commission, stated that the programming of some activity related to the Barcelona Building Construmat is being explored. Finally, Carles Rivera <\/strong>referred to the recent presentation of the study on artificial intelligence in companies<\/a>. The managing director also announced the closure of the 2020 annual accounts and the 2021 budget proposal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRecovery Plan , transformation and resilience\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the meeting, Jordi Garcia Brustenga,<\/strong> Director of Operations and Strategy of ENISA<\/a>, presented the Spanish government\u2019s \u201cRecovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan<\/a>\u201d. Brustenga <\/strong>stressed that this initiative aims to “change the game entirely\u201d, adapting the whole territory to the new digital, green and fair framework<\/strong>. \u201cTerritories are the object of innovation\u201d, he said, “and this will be an opportunity for innovative companies <\/strong>to offer these products and services\u201d, which will be providers of public administrations. He also stressed that \u201cmore and better individual aid<\/strong>\u201d will be offered. Finally, he explained the new way of working based on tractor projects <\/strong>through the impetus of public-private consortia,<\/strong> especially with the private leadership of the pioneering agents of each strategic area.
