That is why <strong>rethinking the transport and delivery of goods in terms of sustainability <\/strong>must be a priority in the heyday of ecommerce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Juan Jos\u00e9 Casado,<\/strong> Chairman of the Mobility Commission of the Pacte Industrial and head of Institutional Policy of the RMB of the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ugt.cat\/\">UGT of Catalonia<\/a>, was in charge of welcoming attendees and recalled that <strong>&#8220;sustainable mobility is a collective right that promotes other citizen rights such as equality&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>The challenges of the DUM<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The event continued with the &#8220;Urban distribution of goods, between old problems and new challenges&#8221; presentation by <strong>Sergi Saur\u00ed,<\/strong> Director of&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cenit.es\/\">CENIT (Transport Innovation Centre)<\/a>&nbsp;. <strong>Saur\u00ed <\/strong>outlined the steps to be taken to respond to the four <strong>essential challenges of the DUM: digitalisation, the collaborative economy, regulation and the energy framework. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, <strong>Sergi Mart\u00ednez-Abarca,<\/strong> Head of the Transport Management Service of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atm.cat\/web\/index.php\">ATM (Metropolitan Transport Authority)<\/a>; <strong>Carles Conill,<\/strong> Director of Sustainable Mobility Services of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amb.cat\/s\/home.html\">AMB (Barcelona Metropolitan Area)<\/a>, and <strong>Marta Losada,<\/strong> Manager of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.catalonialogistics.com\/\">Cl\u00faster Catalonia Logistics<\/a>, have delved into these challenges by presenting <strong>different actions <\/strong>that have been carried out by public administrations and the private sector to <strong>set up a new, sustainable DUM<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The speakers emphasised that <strong>the distribution times coincide with commuter travel times <\/strong>in urban areas. Therefore, it is essential <strong>to&nbsp;integrate goods <\/strong>into land use and mobility plans in cities.
