With support from \u201cla Caixa\u201d Foundation<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>and CaixaBank Dualitza<\/strong><\/a>, Pacte Industrial of the Barcelona Metropolitan Region<\/strong> has organised a Professional Training working day<\/strong> to analyse the importance of public-private collaboration <\/strong>and cooperation among the region\u2019s agents<\/strong> for achieving<\/strong> sustainable economic development<\/strong>. The aim of the day, which took place on 13 June at the CaixaForum Macaya, was to display an X-ray of the current situation of VT<\/strong> and to analyse what the future<\/strong> professional profiles<\/strong> and vocational training will be like, based on recent reports<\/strong> and contributions made by several experts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oriol Homs<\/strong>, sociologist, has presented the study prepared by CaixaBank Dualitza in collaboration with the CEOE Foundation<\/a> on the changes in professional profiles and Professional Training needs in Spain. According to Homs, this study envisages a future marked by the evolution of current professions rather than the emergence of new professions<\/strong>, where the productive model changes people\u2019s relationship with work through the impact of digitisation<\/strong> in the organisation of this same work. The sociologist has emphasised that this impact will be characterised by the arrival of hybrid profiles<\/strong>, with broader generic knowledge, more specialisation, greater capacity to manage specialised information and greater responsibility when making decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ricard Guillem<\/strong>, CaixaBank Dualitza\u2019s territorial coordinator for Catalonia, Valencian Community, Murcia and the Balearic Islands, has recalled the importance of being a step ahead of all these professional needs through training<\/strong>, for which the work of the public administration but also that of entities such as CaixaBank Dualitza, which collaborate in the promotion of VT, is of the essence. This public-private collaboration<\/strong> is the basis not only for professional improvement but for being able to reach a greater number of people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sessions was opened by M. Rosa Fiol<\/strong>, president of the Training Commission of the Industrial Pact and representative of Foment del Treball<\/a>, and Patricia Trillo<\/strong>, director of the Institutions Centre of the Territorial Management of CaixaBank<\/a> in Barcelona. For her part, M. Rosa Fiol <\/strong>highlighted that, since its inception, the Pacte Industrial<\/strong> has contributed to the promotion of professional training<\/strong> in the Metropolitan Region of Barcelona, as well as to the alignment of the production system, the training system and the metropolitan area<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carles Rivera<\/strong>, Managing Director of the Pacte Industrial, has emphasised the usefulness of the contributions made by the experts and the reports presented, as they facilitate the approximation of the positions of very diverse actors<\/strong> and contribute to forming a shared vision<\/strong> on professional training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day ended with a debate involving Pere Gabern, <\/strong>director of Education and Sports services at Granollers City Council<\/a>;\u00a0Natalia Ortega<\/strong>, general secretary of the\u00a0Centre for Metallurgical Studies and Advice (CEAM)<\/a>;\u00a0Neus Pons<\/strong>, director and manager of the\u00a0BCN Professional Training Foundation<\/a>;\u00a0Montse Blanes<\/strong>, director of the Bonanova Institute<\/a>;\u00a0Rebeca Mar\u00edn<\/strong>, director of People and Organisation of Aig\u00fces de Barcelona<\/a>, and\u00a0Josep Franc\u00ed<\/strong>, EYSKILLS<\/a>\u00a0consultant and associate expert of the\u00a0Jaume Bofill Foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All the participants agreed that public-private collaboration<\/strong> and cooperation between the different agents<\/strong> involved in professional training is a key element to promote the development of the region, companies and people<\/strong>. Some noteworthy ideas of the participants focused on the need to build local ecosystems of training and work<\/strong> revolving around professional training centres, build relationships between companies and training centres <\/strong>to respond in sufficient time to the qualification needs of companies, spread good cooperation practices facilitated by councils, promote a cultural change<\/strong> in favour of professional training, and rely on the contributions<\/strong> that business organisations<\/strong> can make in an ecosystem made up basically of SMEs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
