The Executive Committee of the Pacte Industrial de la Regi\u00f3 Metropolitana de Barcelona association held its 38th meeting on Thursday 21. The meeting, which took place at the headquarters of Barcelona Activa and was presided over by Carles Ruiz, the Chair of the Executive Committee, was attended by representatives of the various organisations that make up the Pacte Industrial<\/a>. Josep M. Marqu\u00e8s, the Executive Director of Promotion at Barcelona Activa, welcomed the participants on behalf of S\u00f2nia Recasens, the Deputy Mayor in charge of Business, Labour and Economic Affairs at Barcelona City Council and the President of the General Council of the Pacte Industrial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, the participants learned first-hand about the new strategy for industrial policy being promoted by the Government of Catalonia, and had the opportunity to debate the issue. Joan Miquel Hern\u00e1ndez, the Head of the Business Development Division, and Jordi Carbonell, the Deputy General Director of Industrial Policy at the Government of Catalonia\u2019s Ministry for Business and Labour, presented a document entitled \u201cAn Industrial Strategy for Catalonia\u201d, which the Ministry is currently working on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following their presentation, a summary was given of the work carried out and the current activities of the four committees that make up the Pacte Industrial: namely, Mobility, Training, Economic Activity and Innovation. Carles Rivera, the Managing Coordinator of the Pacte Industrial, then proceeded to inform the participants of the progress made by the association in a number of areas, including the development of new communication tools such as the website and social networks, and its new strategy for studies and publications.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
