The Pacte Industrial of the Barcelona Metropolitan Region presented on 14th July the document “Guide on Local Initiatives Towards Energy Transition in Industrial Parks”<\/strong>, drawn up by Ver\u00f3nica Kuchinow<\/strong> and Anna Llu\u00eds<\/strong>, of S\u00edmbiosy, with becomes the 13th Dossier of the Pacte Industrial association, coordinated by Carles Rivera<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presentation took place at the Masia Can Serra in Rub\u00ed as part of a session<\/strong> entitled \u201cEnergy transition in industrial parks: An opportunity towards a local world\u201d<\/strong>, and was attended by Ana Mar\u00eda Mart\u00ednez<\/strong>, Mayor of Rub\u00ed; Carles Ruiz<\/strong>, President of the Executive Committee of the Industrial Pact and Mayor of Viladecans; Eloy \u00c1lvarez Pelegry<\/strong>, director at Orkestra\u2019s Energy Department; Carles Riba<\/strong>, director of the CDEI-UPC and president of the CMES (Organization for a New Sustainable Social Energy Model), and Antoni Fuentes<\/strong>, journalist for El Peri\u00f3dico. It also included the presentation of some of the energy transition projects<\/strong> detailed in Dossier 14, specifically those promoted by Rub\u00ed, Viladecans, Granollers, Matar\u00f3, Barber\u00e0 del Vall\u00e8s and Sabadell<\/strong>, which were explained by their respective representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Dossier 14 is intended to serve as a guide and a presentation of practical cases<\/strong> to municipal councils and local actors in order to help them develop their potential to promote the process of energy transition<\/strong> by implementing different actions within the industrial parks they are located. According to the study, promoting energy transition is an investment<\/strong> that will contribute to avoiding<\/strong> major costs<\/strong> in the future caused by climate change<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
