One of the main objectives of the Training Commission of the Industrial Pact is to contribute to the promotion of professional training in the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona, as well as to seeks alignment between the productive system and the training system throughout the metropolitan region. Along these lines, the Industrial Pact, with the support of La Caixa Foundation and CaixaBank Dualitza, has organised the day “Professional training, public-private collaboration and territory: a strategy for sustainable economic development”, to display an X-ray of the current situation of VT and to analyse what the future professional profiles and vocational training will be like.
This document contains the transcript of the conference -held on 13 June 2023 at the CaixaForum Macaya-, which has benefited from contributions made by several experts. There has also been a debate on the role of public-private collaboration as a key factor in boosting the local economy and in the professional development of people, in which representatives of the public administration, the business organisations, trade unions and academia.
