The Pacte Industrial of the Barcelona Metropolitan Region held on 24 April the 43rd Executive Committee Meeting at the Palauet de Can Buxeres of Hospitalet de Llobregat, attended by the representatives of the local councils and entities which comprise the association.
The meeting was chaired for the first time by Núria Marín, Mayor of Hospitalet de Llobregat, and President of the Pacte Industrial Executive Committee since last December. During her address, Ms Marín upheld the need for the economic recovery to be driven by a metropolitan regional vision. To this end she emphasised the importance of institutions such as the Pacte Industrial as a tool for debate and consensual agreement of operational approaches to promote sustainable and inclusive reindustrialisation.
In bringing the meeting to a close, Xavier Marcet of Lead to Change spoke of the publication on the circular economy being produced on behalf of the Pacte Industrial, taking the opportunity to reflect on the issue.
