The fact-finding mission to the Basque Country organised by the Pacte Industrial of the Barcelona Metropolitan Region took place on 23 and 24 May so as to learn first-hand about the Orkestra – Basque Institute of Competitiveness initiative and a number of the action research projects analysed in Paper 2 of the Pacte Industrial “Towards a New Model of Territorial Development: the Challenge of Relearning Ways to Work”. The gathering involved 35 representatives of the local authorities, county development agencies, unions, business associations, universities, etc. that make up the Pacte Industrial.
