This study serves as a guide and a presentation of practical cases to municipal councils and local businesses in order to help them develop their potential to boost the process of energy transition by implementing different actions within the industrial parks they are located. The study sets out the basic concepts regarding energy transition, makes an evaluation of the current energy situation within the industry and the industrial parks and reflect on new opportunities for industry. It then proposes a series of actions, derived from the cooperation on this project between local council representatives, business executives and other relevant agents linked with the study, in order to launch this transition in the industrial parks and obtain efficient energy models. Finally, it includes a set of case studies and future ideas aimed at helping to encourage local initiatives to boost this energy transition in the industrial parks.
